| I recently had a huge flood in my basement and unfortunately thats where I have kept 4 oriental rugs (which I got by inheritance from my grandfather) rolled up and they were all got soaked since the water level got to 2 feet high and it wouldnt have been that bad except the orientals had a high sentimental value to me. I called up oriental rug care ny and 3 other companies and only oriental rug care could come right away (was a saturday night). 2 guys came over took the rugs, drained the entire basement and gace it a mildew treatment. I got my 4 rugs after one week even in better shape that they were before the water damage, And they didnt evev charge me for the mildew treatment, only for the cleaning of them 4 rugs ! | I have been looking for a rug cleaning company and boy did I found one that got the job done on a timely basis, great quality of work, excellent price and did I mention PROFESSIONALISM. I have acquired a rug that was a hand me down from my grandmother that she got on vacation when she visited the in India 1977( Taj Mahal Tour), now deceased may she rest in peace. Because of the age of the of the rug, delicateness and the sentimental value I was a bit hesitant to give the rug to any carpet company. On my coffee break with my friend Suzan(thanks Suzie) I explained my plight to her and she referred me to ORIENTAL RUG CARE NY. | Having gotten the name of this service from a web search, I was unsure of the quality of their work or reliability. I had two oriental rugs cleaned with one needing extensive deodorizing. I was very happily surprised when the rugs were returned. Both came back looking new with no chemical odors. They did an excellent job. | In the midst of an apartment search, my husband and I got very lucky with what we found. Great location, lots of space, lower-than-expacted price.....but there was a catch; most of the carpets were completely trashed.
