My rugs did come back clean, but I could not have gotten worse service from this company. The estimate that was given to me over the phone was less than half of the price of the quote I ultimately received. I was told that was because the person on the phone had given me an estimate for cleaning two synthetic rugs, but I could not have been clearer with her that my rugs are wool. Against my better judgment, I went ahead and let them take my rugs anyway (I had just moved, my rugs were sitting rolled up in the middle of my living room, and I didn't have the time to make appointments with other cleaners to get other quotes). My delivery was supposed to take place last Friday (it was written on my work order). After waiting 2 hours for them to come, I called and found out that they didn't even have me on the schedule for that day. I asked for the owner to call me ASAP; 2 hours later he finally called to say there had been a glitch in their computer system. We rescheduled for today. I explained to him that it was difficult for me to be out of the office during the day. He promised me a delivery between 2:00pm and 3:00pm; at 2:50pm he called to say they were on their way and would be there in 20 min. They didn't arrive until after 3:35pm. The minute he walked into my bedroom he said they were going to have a major problem rolling out the rug because of my bed. This I cannot understand, as a) he looked at my bedroom when he came to pick up the rugs, and b) my bed is just a mattress and box spring on a metal frame with wheels that moves quite easily. Even I can lift up 1/2 of it with one other person! He was going to disassemble the entire thing (and not happily) and move it out of the room until I prevailed upon him that this was not necessary. I would expect that someone in the carpet cleaning business would be prepared to move furniture as needed.

Thank you very much for your attentive, professional service. York Carpet was fantastic! I have had the two early 20th century Anatolian kilims for about twenty years. They were in need of a good cleaning, as well as some repair. One of the carpets had an area of bleeding which was difficult to deal with, I am happy to say that you did a remarkable job on what I thought to be a lost cause/ Your cleaning and repair
exceeded my expectation. I am delighted with the results. The time frame and cost

I own two dogs and as any dog owner will tell you keeping your carpets clean and allergen free is a major concern where pets are concerned. With this in mind
I wanted to make sure that all the materials used to clean my carpets were safe and non toxic. Ron Ami and the staff of York Carpet were very responsive to my desires to have both clean carpets and provide a safe environment for my pets. Over the phone I was well educated of the various methods used for carpet cleaning and the variety of "Green" materials they use to perform their service.
Since I do a lot of internet research I must also say that I was impressed with the website of York Carpet as I was seeking a service to fill my carpet cleaning needs. The website was easy to navigate and just as informative as having a direct conversation with York Carpet personnel.
In closing I just want to say "Thank You" York Carpet. You did an excellent, professional job in a relatively short amount of time and would not hesitate in recommending you to friends and colleagues.
